Law 2: SMALL BUT SMART CHANGES
The best way to start your fat burning journey is by making small changes that will have a big impact. Here are some ideas based on food changes. It doesn’t need to be just about food, you can make fitness related changes like go for a walk, complete 15 journeys up and down your stairs...etc
Small changes start the ball rolling towards life changing events...sounds strong i know, but its TRUE!
Think about it this way…If we complete 15 - 20 small changes during the year. Then we decide to take on a big challenge. That big challenge will not be so daunting because we have accumulated confidence and self esteem by completing the small tasks. Never underestimate the power of making small changes, they really start to add up!
Here are some really easy food swaps:
White potatoes, Chips >>> TO >>> Sweet potatoes
White Pasta >>> TO >>> Roast veg, try carrots, onions, beetroot. This is some of many!
Vegetable oil >>> TO >>> Coconut oil (cooking), Olive oil (dressing), or Spray Olis
Mayonnaise >>> TO >>> Home made mayonnaise or light
White Rice >>> TO >>> Cauliflower rice
Spaghetti >>> TO >>> Squash (Buy yourself a spiralizer…they are amazing!)
Bread >>> TO >>> The idea of never eating bread again may send you into a panic at first, but it is easy to make alternatives. Try wrapping burgers in iceberg lettuce or stuffing it between two flat mushrooms. Making romaine lettuce scoops filled with your favorite protein and veggies.
Chocolate >>> TO >>> Fruit or palm full of nuts
Crisps >>> TO >>> A bag of spinach (the looks people give you are priceless, worth doing for that fact alone!)
Iodized table salt >>> TO >>> Mineral rich Celtic or Himalayan sea salt
